The SM8’s center of gravity has been moved forward, to a position just in front of the face, producing a wedge that wants to square up every time. Vokey and his team achieved this new CG placement by lengthening the hosel and counterbalancing the extra weight with a high-density tungsten toe. The high, forward CG position boosts MOI, improves distance control, trajectory control, feel and stability.
