Listed for sale is an original, Korean War era, early U.S. Air Force summer service coat in a tropical worsted tan Shade 193, aka the “Silver Tans” uniform. The label dates the coat to 1951 and it appears to be a custom tailored uniform made by Chikuma in Osaka, Japan. The jacket has some wear typical of a garment its age, including some tiny holes and a bit of fraying at the cuffs. One of the buttons has been dented. There is also some soilage in the armpits and some scattered stains though I have not attempted to clean the coat. Please see the pictures for details.

Measurements:

Sleeve: 25” shoulder seam to cuff

Length: 31.5” total length from back, top of collar to bottom hem

Chest: 20” pit to pit laid flat

Waist 20” laid flat

This listing is for the coat only. I originally found it without the matching trousers, unfortunately. Please let me know if you have any questions!
