Description

The airbag, proven to be the most effective safety system for road users, was previously only available to drivers. With the IXS Jacket Stunt, motorcyclists can now also take advantage of the added safety of an airbag: the airbag integrated into the jacket is triggered by a rip cord attached to the motorcycle. The trigger mechanism activates a CO2 cartridge, which inflates the airbag within 0.5 seconds. The active airbag protects the motorcyclist's neck, spine, collarbone, sternum, kidney area and tailbone for 30 seconds.

How is it measured?

  • Waist size: For women, place the tape measure around the body at the narrowest part of the waist; for men, place it around the body just below the belly button
  • Chest circumference: Place the tape measure at the point where the chest circumference is greatest, directly under the arms and across the shoulder blades
  • Hip circumference: For women, place the measuring tape around the body at the largest point of the hip circumference, below the waist
