The main part of the badges presented in the catalog are award ones, and they actually represent a departmental award system that existed in parallel with the state award system. The catalog contains: memorial signs and badges, signs of labor valor, trade unions, voluntary societies and public organizations, law enforcement agencies, fire departments, signs and badges of the Red Army and the armed forces of the USSR, civilian educational institutions, members of the Central Executive Committee and deputies of the Supreme Councils, official and sports signs and badges. The catalog contains more than 5,000 images of signs, tokens, and documents from the Soviet period.
