This impeller shaft will NOT fit Sears or Thompson sprinklers that have the aluminum shaft. If you're purchasing this to replace the shaft in a Sears or Thompson sprinkler, check the length from the bottom flange to the tapped hole and compare with the picture above. Upper and lower bushings are machined from solid Delrin - an engineering plastic known for its strength and low friction. Includes tool to aid installation (and removal of old bushings), as well as screw and washer to replace original lower bushing retainer screw, if present.
If lower bushing retainer screw is present, it will require removal in order to remove original lower bushing. The retainer screw may not be necessary - the bushing should be a press fit in the sprinkler body. A screw is still necessary to plug the threaded hole to prevent leaking - a stainless steel screw and a washer for the purpose are included.
