Replace missing or broken part.

Made by me in my workshop from ABS in heated chamber by additive manufacturing process.  ABS will not dissolve with standard lubricants or become soft in a hot garage or workshop.  ABS is the ideal material, won't melt in your hot workshop like PLA and the teeth won't flex away from the load like Nylon.  Not made from metal.

EVERY part is test fit in a factory gear and on a factory lead screw for quality assurance.

Be certain you clean your lead screw and lubricate all moving services.  There is no time like now to clean your carriage and feed parts up to perfection and re-lubricate. The greatest thing you can do to extend the life of your feed related parts is keep everything free from chips and lubricated.

YOU MUST Fully stop the lathe before shifting gears.

Made by Dave from YouTube's Crafted Channel.  I own many Atlas lathes on which to test my parts.  I have run plastic parts including my ABS gears since 2015.  I can make big cuts never breaking any teeth or bushings.

Photo 1:  The item you are buying.  You get 1.  This is one of my newest parts and until it's proven, I describe these as for temporary emergency use. Often the factory part will not be available for months or even a year.  This gear is attached to the back wall of the reverse gearbox and idles (transfers power) between the two bevel gears on the lead screw.  You must stop the lathe fully before shifting.  Not even the metal part will survive an animal at the controls.   Think!

Photo 2:  Example of 10" Model F lathe the part fits. Installs in the gearbox with vertical lever mounted under the headstock.  The lead screw exits from the described gearbox.  The Idler Bevel Gear runs between the two lead screw bevel gears and is mounted to the inside of the reverse gear case.) LATHE NOT INCLUDED.  EXAMPLE SHOWN FOR FIT IDENTIFICATION ONLY.

I apologize for all the warnings.  Even though I am clear, at least once a month I get a person who thinks they are getting or are going to force me to send them a $1000 lathe or item in background, or other item used as prop or to show fit of my part.  People don't read.  Don't be that guy please.
