Invicta Specialty S1 mod 41653

The more you study this timepiece the more you come to realise how much work has gone into it’s design. The case is a tonneau barrel shape but not any tonneau. The bottom of the case measures 40mm across. The case then tapers outwards to 48mm at the top. If you look at it you would think it is longer from north to south than it is east to west. This is an optical illusion as the north to south measurement is again the same 48mm.

Case thickness also varies from 12mm at the bottom to 18mm at the top. Bracelet attachment is unique in that the casework has been machined out allowing for the bracelets direct attachment. There are no bracelet lugs on this case. The back of the case is curved for a comfortable wrist fit. Three seperate pieces make up the main case with the backplate fastened onto the case and displaying an exhibition window allowing the user full view of the beautiful Seiko NH35A mechanical automatic. The stationary bezel is fastened to the top of the case displaying the Invicta Logo at the 12 o’clock position.

Getting back to the bracelet as it needs additional mentioning. The solid three link design is 32mm wide at the case tapering to 24mm at the deployment clasp. The clasp is of the over centre double locking variety with micro adjustment. An added feature is the over centre structure has been machined from a solid piece of stainless rather than stamped. On this bracelet each link has a 180 degree rotation allowing the links to fold over against themselves making for a very supple comfortable wrist fit.

The dial is unique in that it is multilayered, displaying rotating disks etched with Arabic numerals. The bottom hour disk is white in colour, displaying indices in black. Minutes are displayed on a smaller white disk with indices in red. The time is referenced against stationary markers etched into an overhead gantry finished in silver. Hours are read against a red arrow at the 3 o’clock position with minutes being read from the arrow in the 5 o’clock position. A silver skeletonised seconds hand rotates above the two bottom disks.

This is certainly a unique timepiece by Invicta, one which photographs do not do justice. The time gone into bringing all the different design elements of this piece together in an attractive and comfortable watch must have been extraordinary.

I have a No Return setting on my listings in an effort to combat unethical buyers returning items at will for no good reason thus increasing prices for the rest of us. If you have an issue with any of my watches please contact me for resolution.

All watches listed by me are in stock here in Australia and will be sent to purchasers within 24 hours of purchase.

I have been fielding enquiries recently in relation to the authenticity of the watches I sell and also customers wanting all plastics removed from the watches when being photographed.

Firstly all my watches are certainly authentic. I do not sell, replica watches all though I do know that replica Invicta's do exist as I have myself unknowingly purchase a couple. My advice is not to buy Invicta watches where the country of origin is China. Having said that both replica's I purchased were from the United States, obviously marketed through Chinese affiliates in that country. Try to buy from reputable sellers.

If I describe a watch as new, then it is new and generally is wrapped in the manufacture's plastics. I do remove and replace some but not all of these plastics for photographic clarity. Most of my customers prefer an unmolested product where plastics are concerned however if you are genuine in your enquiry and prefer that all plastics be removed for photographic purposes then contact me and I will oblige.
