CMI Les Paul Special 1970s - fixed neck, Faber bridge

Here's an oldie but goldie - A CMI Les Paul Special from the mid-late 1970s and it's the fairly rare fixed neck version.

It's in decent condition but check the photos for the dings, scuffs and scratches.

The machine heads (Schaller I believe) are most likely replacements.

A previous owner saw fit to remove part of the scratchplate without taking it off! So there is evidence of this around that area around the treble-side bridge post - I guess it was in order to attach a new bridge...

When I got this there was no bridge so I bought a Faber aged nickle one and got a local tech to attach it and make the appropriate adjustments. You can see the ball ends of the strings because I added extra ones to prevent the windings of the end strings going too far over the bridge and digging into my hand.

It plays nicely with a fairly low action and everything works as it should.

No case or gig bag.

Local collection from Keynsham BS31, although meeting up for handover (30-40 miles) is a possibility
