Maker: This exceptional little demitasse cup and saucer is by the Charles Ahrenfeldt company, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century.

Age: On the reverse of both pieces is the blue Ahrenfeldt decorator's mark number 2 that came into use around 1893. Source: Distinctive Limoges Porcelain by Keith and Thomas Waterbrook-Clyde.

Design: The set is in a dramatic pattern of vivid orange and raised gold flowers and leaves on thin, fine translucent white porcelain. The cup nests into the saucer. No other example of this pattern was found in an online search.

Size: The cup is 1 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/8 inches tall. The saucer is 4 inches wide. The set weighs 2.7 ounces.

Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition, especially considering their age and fragile material. There are no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, repairs, crazing or significant wear. There is light wear to the edges on both pieces - it's visible in the photos.

Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
