Please see the video it shows the movement. The was can tick but only laying flat. When you lift it than it will stop ticking. That is what I found and recorded for you. I found this watch at a local sale in Seattle Washington only weeks ago. The hands turn properly when engaged. The watch and band need cleaning. I don't know what is causing the movement to stop ticking so you will have to have it worked on. The crystal is good and a little buffing can make it perfect. Thank you for looking.
