LIMITED EDITION LIMOGES "MARCHAND
DE GLACES" ICE CREAM CART TRINKET BOX

Available for purchase is a limited-edition hinged trinket box made by one of the various porcelain factories in the Limoges region of France. The piece depicts an ice cream vendor cart and is titled "MARCHAND DE GLACES" (ice cream seller). The vendor is offering 2 flavors of ice cream, including "Braise" and "Chocolat". The cart is painted a pale yellow color with a blue and white striped canopy and gold highlights. When the box is opened, there are 2 cones of ice cream (strawberry and chocolate) painted on the inside bottom.

The box measures about 2 1/2" long (including handles), 1 7/8" wide, and 3" tall. The underside of the base is marked "Décorée à la main" (hand decorated) and "Limoges, France". It's also marked "274.300", indicating that this box is number 274 in an edition of 300. The painter's initials are "P.B." I purchased this trinket box at a recent estate sale.

Condition of this Limoges trinket box is EXCELLENT with no chips, cracks, fleabites, or crazing. It displays beautifully and would make a fine addition to any collection. Please take a close look at the many photos I've provided and judge condition for yourself. I'm confident you'll be very pleased with this purchase.

If you collect Limoges trinket boxes, don't miss your opportunity to purchase this offering. As I mentioned earlier, this box was produced in a limited edition of only 300. My Buy It Now price of only $104 is a bargain. So, buy it now before someone else beats you to the deal!

Payment is due immediately after purchase. Virginia residents will need to add 5.3% state sales tax to the final purchase price. E-bay has also started charging sales tax in many other states recently, something beyond my control.

For international purchases, the buyer is responsible for all customs fees. The declared value listed on the customs form will be the final selling price of the item. I will not list the item as a "gift" to avoid customs charges.

If you're the lucky winner of this Limoges trinket box, it will come to you VERY carefully packaged via USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail (your choice). Shipping will be actual charges from zip code 22980 (packaged weight between 1 and 2 pounds). Use the eBay shipping calculator to determine exact mailing cost to your location. International buyers will need to e-mail me for a shipping quote.

E-bay no longer allows sellers to offer buyers the option of purchasing shipping insurance. I will insure this item at my own expense.
