■Arcade Dreams Reborn...

It would be a bit difficult to describe Ottobit Jr. as just a bit crusher.

While reproducing the sound of the SID chip installed in classic game machines, the combination of analog synth and synth filter will help you play with full of imagination.

The Stutter (repeat sound that sounds like it was cut into pieces by waveform editing) and sequence functions are revolutionary.

Stutter sound (a sound that sounds like a chopped waveform) is sequenced (8 steps) with pitch, filter, and crash to create a chiptune-like sound.

Meris pedals have high headroom that can accept up to +12.5dBu.

This allows it to receive high-input signals from synthesizers and other devices with ease.

Honestly, it's a difficult pedal to use.

However, from the moment you pick it up, from song production to live performances, there is no doubt that it will be a great rival that will stimulate your imagination.

It also supports line level, so it can be used to great effect when producing music.

It's easy to crash hi-hats and loop sounds, or chop them up with the Stutter feature.

I think it would be interesting to use it on vocals as well as synths.

Unlike the bit crusher plug-in, it doesn't just perform bit reduction, it also adds musical elements to it.

■MIDI, Expression and Preset...

It will be more effective if you connect a MIDI connection (MIDI I/O required) or an expression pedal.

This opens up even more possibilities, such as controlling the filter and bit crush amount with expressions to create a synth sound, or controlling the Stutter pattern by MIDI to match the song.

Additionally, an optional preset switch allows you to save four presets.
