Large woven bucket style basket bag/tote.  Lovely multicoloured striped pattern with tan leather handles and protective base corners. It has a drawstring closure and lining.

Made with a coated woven rafia type fabric and a nylon lining material, it makes a practical water-resistant and lightweight carry basket for shopping, beach or holiday.

Not sure where it was made but bought it at a market in Sicily in 2002.

It measures 34 cm lengthways along the base, widening to 40cm along the top.  The width is 16-20cm across, and has a depth of 28 cm.

It's not been used more than a couple of times, other than living in a cupboard, so it needs a few outings!
