Grateful Dead ' Live ' from the Oakland Stadium in Oakland, CA on July 24th, 1987 ( Complete w/o Encore )  AND !  Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim, CA on July 26th, 1987 ( Complete w/o Encore ) . . .

As far as Grateful Dead Live-Power ! in the " Bang-for-the-buck " perspective ( Live Multi-Angle Pro-Shot ! ), I'm not sure you can really do much better then this gem of a G.D. Rock & Roll DVD !!?!  Here you have Two ( 2 ) -- yes, Two !! -- Complete Shows ( minus the Encores from both nights ) showcasing the band running on all cylinders during the 1987 Dylan & The Dead Tour !  There were only Six ( 6 ) dates scheduled for this Dylan & The Dead Stadium tour portion, and this DVD features Both of the final west coast shows of this tour ( Oakland & Anaheim ).  The only other Stadium dates for this Historic ! '87 Summer Tour were Foxboro ( MA ) - J.F.K. ( Philly ) - Giants Stadium ( N.J. ) - and the Mighty Autzen Stadium " Home of The Ducks ! " in Eugene, OR !  So, with only Six ( 6 ! ) chances to catch the Dead's sets while on Tour with Dylan in '87, here in this video you get Two !!  Due to what I'm certain are copyright / royalty reasons, you unfortunately get none of the Dylan / Dead " Together " footage -- but getting the Dead " Alone " on these unique dates is something special ... not only because of how they rise to the musical occasion in the presence of Bob Dylan ( you know, when the All-Time Greats are together there is naturally a little ( or maybe a lot, perhaps ? ) friendly competition ).  But these Shows just catch the Band, and really - Jerry Garcia ! right on the mark, delivering the goods ... just completely Big-League ! stuff.  This was in itself a return to the Stadium Shows, but even more so it was a return to fame ( & actually some fortune ? ... for once ) for the Grateful Dead in the early midst of the unbelievable " Touch of Grey " phenomenon !!!  Wow ! ... I mean we are talking a Top 10 Hit ! & MTV !!  Throughout both of these Shows, their sound is intricate, raw, sounds the way it should ( at least to my ears. ) - in the still ! " Pre-Midi " ( Multi Digital Interface ) Era -- and is downright Powerful !  My jaw dropped to the ground a number ! of times, the 1st time I enjoyed this 2-Show Set - over 15-Years Ago ! ... and, many times after-that too - Wow !!!  Amazing '87 G.D. Live !  And this Set ... is the Brand New & Factory-Sealed " Original " 1st Printing from 2003 !  A Must-Have for the Grateful Dead Collector, and really - any fan who Loves ! Great Live Rock n' Roll !!!  Simply 31 tunes of sheer Bliss ! on this set -- & all captured on one single DVD !!  Capture it ... and You will be So-Glad ! you did !!  Enjoy !!!!
