1998 Acoustic Disc ! release featuring studio recordings of " Garcia & Grisman !! " covering Jazz Song Masterpieces ! - by both Miles Davis ! & Milt Jackson ! between 1990 & 1992 !! ... Amazing !!!

Jerry Garcia Fans !! - those of the Dawg ! - those of the Dead ! - those of both Milt Jackson ! & Miles Davis !- and those of the Jazz Music Art Form !!!  All I can say is that if for some reason this Stellar ! 1998 " Garcia & Grisman " release has somehow passed you by - here is a chance to promptly ' correct ' that situation ... believe-it !  Wow ... as a Lifelong Guitar Player myself - when I got this CD immediately ! upon it's release in 1998 - I was just completely blown-back !  Virtually stunned ... by the Pristine ! Studio Sound - the Songs ( Tracks ! ) selected - by both Milt Jackson ! & Miles !! - and of course ... the Crystal-tight Musicianship - Communication and Cohesiveness between David & Jerry !!!  They are all-over this material ! - and it really has the feel great to them - truly playing for themselves - with ingredients of both passion & attack ! that few can turn on ... just the ' way ' that these guys do it.  Grisman honestly sounds like he had been running scales & chompin' at the bit for days, weeks, and/or months - before pretty much all ! of these Sessions.  I mean he is so tight - that it's almost insane ?!?  Well, it's the studio - and all tricks are indeed fair-game, naturally ... but whoa ! is he dialed.  And as for Garcia !!?!  He is just Pristine !  His rallies are fresh, new, controlled - and played with passion all throughout these tracks.  I assume that Grisman selected the ' Big ' Jerry takes - because that is indeed ! what is on this CD !!!  Even when you do get the occasional Garcia-famous ' maggle ' - or, off-timing thing ... he just spins around - and Wham ! sneaks-up on you - and then ... he's way ahead of you & your mind - and right on the mark !  My goodness, do they get after these tracks - both ! the up-tempo stuff - and the down-tempo stuff ... pretty amazing.  There are 8-Tracks on this ' So What ' release - and One ( 1 ) is written by Grisman - Two ( 2 ) are written by Milt Jackson - and Five ( 5 ) are written by the man himself ... Miles Davis !!  Wow, I mean can you really just grasp these circumstances ?!?  Two old friends, in Jerry & David just getting together - and playing what they want to ... Jazz Music !  and, doing it in the pure Garcia & Grisman ' Acoustic ' format !!!  Just playing for themselves really, but - with a release in mind - so ... you can tell that they are working-hard !  You know, for Pride !!  The Tracks are hand-selected from Five ( 5 ) Garcia / Grisman Sessions at Grisman's Home Studio ( " Dawg Studio ! " ) in Mill Valley, California ( CA ) - and, they all take place between 12/6/1990 ! - and 11/24/1992 !  And considering the timing of those dates - and also consideration of the demanding ' calendar ' of the Grateful Dead ! ... Garcia really had little, to no time to really ' spare ' - but, he still indeed made it happen !  For the sake of American Music ! ... and, that of Jazz-Music - just Excellent !  So, here are the dates of the Sessions - for your info, and other than that - it's just time to get excited ! for this little Acoustic-Music CD Treasure !! ... released in 1998 ! >>> 12/6/1990 - 3/8/1991 - 6/2/1992 - 6/4/1992 - 11/24/1992 <<<  So Very-Impressive !!! ... Item Condition :  This ( 1998 Acoustic Disc release ) Jerry Garcia & David Grisman ( Garcia / Grisman ) So What CD ( 1998 Acoustic Disc ( ACD-33 ) ) featuring Acoustic Cover Songs of Jazz Greats Miles Davis & Milt Jackson is in Good condition.  CD is in Good condition, with scratches/marks on the playing surface that do not affect play (cosmetic-only).  CD has been tested in entirety, and plays with 100% perfection.  Liner Notes ( 12-Page Inside Insert Booklet & Back Insert Card ) are in Good condition, with indentations throughout the Inside Insert Booklet (please see photos).  CD Case ( 1-CD Jewel Case ) is in Like New condition, with only very slight surface wear on the outer panels from storage next to other CD Cases in my professional CD rack (please see photos).  Please see all photos provided.  Photos included are of the actual items you will receive.  The Amazing !
