ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA
SIDE A: LIVIN’ THING
(Cosa Viviente)
SIDE B: FIRE ON HIGH
(Alta Temperatura)
MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original United Artists Records very first Stereo press released by UA Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1977 by Industria De Radio Y Televisión S.A. (IRT Records), licensed from United Artists Music Ltd./Jet Music, USA, catalog number UP-36184, with hand etched matrix numbers UP-36184-A EB-C in Side A and UP-36184-B EB-C in Side B, with cream/black UA Records labels. It’s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it’s written the exact date of pressing, “6 1 77” (January 6th of 1977). Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!
“Livin’ Thing” was originally released late 1976 and we didn’t have to wait much because in January 1977 it was released here in Chile. Song titles are written in English, translated to Spanish, with full credits for songwriters, arrangers, producers, etc, and play time of each song. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE single of Electric Light Orchestra released in Chile and almost never seen!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!
This record comes with the correct original generic IRT plastic sleeve, which’s in EX- or EX condition, complete and clean, with only some little rips and moderate wear. The record is in VG- or even VG condition both sides, still glossy and clean, but with loads of scuffs, hairlines and some light scratches, which don’t affect play. Labels are in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, clear and clean, with only some spindle hole wear, some faint scratches in Side B and little initials written with blue pen by some past owner in both labels. The sound is in great VG or VG+ condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with constant soft crackles and some occasional light pops here and there, and in VG- or VG condition the Side B, almost same condition of Side A, but with crackles more evident, which don’t really cause major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, sure this is not a record for Minty minds or audiophiles, but it’s also sure it’s a record with still a nice look, clean labels and a really decent and respectable sound quality after about 45 years, which won't disappoint anyone!!! Just try to remember how many times you have seen this single auctioned here in eBay and you will know the level of rarity of this Chilean issue!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again… Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records. NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like
new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only
some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the
sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or
poster are in like perfect condition. BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
