Anita O'Day - Anita Sings For Oscar  /  Billie Holiday - Lady Sings The Blues  American Recording Society LP's 1957 RVG

You're bidding on 2 LP's issued in 1957 by the American Recording Society -  A High Fidelity Subscription Series. These LP's were
available by subscription only and not sold in stores. All of the many titles in this series came housed in generic plastic sleeves with
black, white, gold and pink printing. Also included was a 4 page booklet of information about the recordings. None were issued with
  cardboard sleeves.
  1.  Anita Sings For Oscar G-426  The LP is in VG+ condition with a few light surface marks and scratches and plays great with no
groove wear and only a occasional bit of light surface noise. The Cover is in VG condition with no splits but has two sets of tear
holes at the top of the sleeve. The Booklet is in VG+ condition with a small tear in the top middle crease as seen in photos.

  2. Lady Sings The Blues G-431 The LP is in VG/VG+ condition. Side One has a small scratch on track 6 which causes a pop for
30 seconds. Other that that, the record sounds wonderful.  This LP is missing it's plastic cover and booklet.
Both LP's were mastered by Rudy Van Gelder and feature his initials RVG stamped in the run out grooves.
