Here's a fabulous decorative Shirdak rug, hand crafted in the central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan.  These rugs are made from thick felt, one layer on the bottom,  and another layer, intricately stitched in a beautiful leafy design, on top. 

The colors on this rug are a deep, rich brown on the bottom,  and tan felt on the top.  All edges are scalloped.  It measures 42" x 44", almost perfectly square.  The last photo shows the backside with the stitching.

This rug was preowned  but never used. It is in perfect, like-new condition.  It is a rare find. Most of these rugs listed on ebay are actually shipped from Asia,  which carries a huge shipping cost.  This one will be shipped from New Jersey.  Weight is only about 4 lbs.
