Large “Monty” Toby Jug by Royal Doulton, England

This English Royal Doulton large porcelain Toby Jug is entitled “Monty” and was designed by Harry Fenton.Modelled after Bernard Law Montgomery (1887-1976), who was a senior British Army Officer, fighting in both World Wars notably accepting the German surrender at Luneburg Heath in 1945 during the Second World War. The handle records battles honours including El Alamein, Tobruk,Sicily, Tunisia, France and Germany.

Marked: With the Doulton factory mark, Made in England, Royal Doulton, England,

Measures: 6 1/8 inches tall X 6 inches wide from the spout to the handle.

It is in excellent condition.
