Stunning mirrored dresser in original Cape Dutch style found as a barn find by my parents in Franschhoek Cape Town in the 70s.

It was made on the wine farm and used in the original house until being stored in the barn. Was made around 1900.

Beautiful styling in line with Arts and Crafts movement.

Gorgeous carving and wood turning, very high quality wood used all around, fantastic grain.

Im not 100% what wood this is, my mother thinks Yellowwood but its not light enough and the grain isnt right. I think its Oak as its a common tree in the wine region especially Stellenbosch.

The handles are original, quite valuable.

Perfect proportions, not too large. The top mirror can be removed and unscrewed.

The dresser is 153 x 57 x 98cm. With the mirror its 197cm tall.

Pick up only from Sevenoaks.
