I have owned this item from new for a few years now. In that time it has been used a handful of times (I had a more expensive microphone which did the majority of recording). Although the microphone has rarely ever been used for recording it has not been stored the way I would have liked it to be. I left it in my brother's care for years and unfortunately it was not kept in a box. So, it has certainly aged the way anything will do if it is exposed to air, smoke, and ambience of a room. I no longer have the original box. I have examined the inside of the mic and it is flawless, but again, expect the outside to have minor wear and tear. I noticed some scratches and two small notches (see pic). So, asthetically slightly worn but functionally operational. Useful for podcasting or song recording. You will need something with phantom 48v power to work this mic.
