Tanzanite was discovered in the Mererani Hills of Manyara
Region in Northern Tanzania in 1967, near Mount Kilimanjaro. Tanzanite was
named by Tiffany & Co. after Tanzania, the country in which it was
discovered. Tiffany was the first to bring this beautiful blue stone to the
world and still uses naturally-formed tanzanite now, which is extremely rare
and still found only in the Mererani Hills.
This Victoria ring features one round tanzanite of 1.35 ct and prong set
of eight marquise diamonds of 0.91 ct.
