Maker: Breathtaking, exceptionally rare and incredibly beautiful, this hand painted cup and saucer by England's renowned ceramics firm Aynsley would make a huge impression on display in any collection.

Design: Nine finely detailed dusty pink cabbage roses are on a background of thin and translucent bone china. The cup exterior is gold.

The handwritten pattern number 1023 is on the cup and a green Aynsley back stamp is on both pieces. The green mark, with high domes on the crown and the words "Aynsley England Bone China", appears to date the set's production to the 1930s, but that is not confirmed.

Condition: The set has been well cared for. It's in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, crazing, repairs or wear. The gold is intact but at the bottom of the handle, it is lightly discolored. Three photos of the discoloration are provided - please check them all carefully. The underside rims on both pieces have darkened slightly and there are several tiny dark marks at the cup's center - one photo has been lightened to show those marks.

Size: The cup is 2 1/4 inches tall and 4 inches wide at the opening. The saucer is 5 7/8 inches wide. The set weighs 9.3 ounces.

Shipping: This item will be insured and will require a signature upon delivery.

Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
