This is a piece that could do with a bit of love and attention, a desk tidy with 2 ink wells, the lids are missing from the wells. I am not sure of the metal, it looks brass but there are also areas where there is discolouration and shows maybe a coppery colour, so I am selling just as metal, I can be sure of that! It could be used as a prop and actually would look good on a table repurposed as a double candelabra if you could find candles to fit the aperture (approx 3cm)
Vintage or possibly antique. This is missing the the lids to the ink wells, it needs a good clean, there is residue of cleaning fluid from the past. There are area of Verdigris and some areas of discolouration. The base has been painted or coated in a gold colour. Please see photographs and ask for more information if required.
It is approx 35cm across 11cm tall to the top of the middle decorative 'handle' and 14cm front to back, it is shown next to a standard 330ml drink can for scale (not included).
It is quite heavy at 1150g
