On offer is an ECF80 valve which is new and boxed. This example is a Z & I Aero Services Limited version.

This is a small B9A valve; the thin glass tube envelope is about 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is about 48 mm tall.

The ECF80 [6BL8 / 6C16 / CV5215] is an triode / pentode, useful up to about 220 MHz, which were originally designed as frequency changers in Band l / Band lll televisions, but often found a place in test equipment, especially oscilloscopes.  

You will see from the photographs that the valve is new, boxed and unused ~ BUT UNTESTED. This came from part of the contents of the shack of a ‘silent key’ engineer and radio amateur along with a number of other new and boxed valves – all of which have worked without any problems.  As this is untested, it is being offered at a low starting price without any RETURNS OR GUARANTEE in order to comply with eBay’s terms and conditions.
