ANTIQUE TRAMP ART SAWTOOTH CHIP CARVED FOOTED CIGAR/TRINKET BOX


DESCRIPTION:  This interesting footed box measures approximately 8" high x 9 1/2" wide and 6 1/2"deep.  It is carved in the sawtooth manor with additional piramidal designs.  It resembles what one might have seen as a medieval treasure chest.  The lid is held on with two brass hinges that function well and the lid does stay open when lifted.  The inside of the box has a ledge about 1/3rd of the way down on which sits a glass shelf;  this glass shelf will be included in shipment, however we have had countless glass pieces broken in transit and even with very careful packing can not guarantee that it will arrive in one piece. There is a framed mirror in the lid that measures approximately 34 1/2" x 5 1/2".  There are 5 holes of different sizes bored in the bottom of the box.

We have deemed this piece in excellent condition as the flaws are minimal - some wearing of the black finish on high exposure points and a slight uneven standing due to one of the footed piece bottoms having broken off on one end.  The mirror is also losing some of its silvering, which would be expected with age.  The lid once had some sort of newsprint attached as a small piece of it can be seen in the upper left corner.

We list most of our items with calculated shipping, which allows the buyer to select from USPS, FedEx, and UPS with various shipping options available for each. Please review the shipping options carefully as we will ship however the buyer wishes.  We have noted that the shipping cost provided by eBay is often much more than the actual cost.  We will always be happy to send an invoice with a more accurate shipping cost, but we will refund excess charges over our actual shipping cost in any case.
