These two books together are a special preservation of history.  Words recorded and presented in these books - words from prominent Ojibway/Chippewa Indians - chiefs, elders and others.  Much info included about who these Native Americans were, and tales of the early days, along with how things changed as time progressed.  Land of the Chippewa included parts of present day Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula of Wisconsin and beyond.  The artwork in these two volumes are a special feature.
