Tone quality and harmonic response are very good. This guitar offers nice play feel and perfect intonation. Action is 4/64 (very low) at the 12th fret. I predict you will put all other guitars aside and play this one. Check my feedback and you will know.

Neck was reset.

Back was removed, ladder bracing on top was removed, new V-bracing installed.

Back bracing is original, but rounded and sanded smooth.

Bracing is added to the sides.

I pay attention to small details. Top braces are tapered and sanded smooth. The inside back and sides are cleaned up and sanded smooth. Back braces are rounded and sanded smooth. Harmony production glue globs are chipped out. Serial numbers (if any) are preserved.

Please note - this is definitely not a show piece guitar. It is a player guitar. You are buying this guitar to enjoy the excellent play feel and the sound. However, you should know, that buying  an original condition Harmony guitar is risky.  100% of all Sovereigns came with very high play action and weak neck joints from the factory.  There was also a very high incidence of bad intonation.  All of those problems are corrected on the guitars I sell.  With an new bridge, intonation is perfected.  With a repaired dove tail joint, the neck to body joint is completely reliable. For best tone, hide glue is used throughout.  Considering the work that was done here, this guitar is a flat out steal at this price.  You would pay $2000 and up at any store for these repairs and upgrades assuming you could find someone with the tools and ability to do the work.  Good luck on that.  My warranty is the best in the business.  I take care of my customers.

The plastic overlay was gone as received. This was replaced with Indian rosewood overlay.

Condition

• Top - One big crack west of sound hole. This smooth to the touch and 100% stabilized. Small area of pick wear, otherwise, top is very nice.
• Sides - No cracks
• Back - Four cracks, all stabilized
• Gear head face is excellent.
• Gear head back is excellent.
• Neck is good.
