Raymond Peynet, often called by his name alone, is a French cartoonist, born in Paris on November 16, 1908 and died on January 14, 1999 (at age 90) in Mougins (Alpes-Maritimes). He is famous for having created the loving couple in 1942 which he drew on numerous media, including postage stamps.
