Fender Custom Shop 2023 Spring Event Limited Edition HLE Stratocaster Deluxe Closet Classic HLE Gold with Gold Anodized Pickguard & Hardware [SN.CZ570837]

One that was exhibited at the Fender Custom Shop event in spring 2023. With an ash body finished in HLE Gold, a one-piece flame maple neck with a three-dimensional antique finish, and gold anodized PG and gold hardware, it looks like a gold leaf strat! !

This one is based on the 1957 Stratocaster from the maple 1-piece neck era! !
The body uses ash wood, which has a distinctive bright midrange, and was carefully selected for Fender Custom Shop products by wood selection experts. The pickguard is an anodized (aluminum) guard with 8 points. Like the body, the neck material is a 3A flame 1-piece maple with beautiful heather grain. The fingerboard radius is 9.5 radius which is shallower than vintage, and the frets are narrow/tall size with narrow width and height. The body and neck finish is all lacquer finish like vintage. The body and neck have irregular weather checks, and an all-lacquer finish with a glossy NOS-like finish. The clear coat on the neck has a faded antique finish, giving the neck material a beautiful look with a sense of depth and depth. The neck grip has a slim "57 Soft V" shape finish. The vintage grip has a rounded V shape at the low position and thickens towards the high position.
The luxurious and sophisticated gold hardware is equipped with a synchronized tremolo that uses a PAT.PEND. engraved saddle, and the machine head is equipped with vintage-type Kluson pegs.
The custom shop's live sound, which is superior to any other Fender model with its bolt-on structure and clear live sound, has a different level of atmosphere and sound thickness when output from the amplifier. The Deluxe Closet Classic finish has a gloss finish with a weather check, and is characterized by a tighter and clearer sound than models that can be damaged, such as Relic. That said, the overwhelming live sound unique to a custom shop is so comfortable that you can play it for hours without having to output it from an amplifier, and it has a quality that can only be experienced at a custom shop.

The pickups that reproduce that wonderful sound are all hand-wound pickups. The impression is that the amplifier outputs an acoustic atmosphere with richer harmonics than a normal machine-wound one. The installed model is equipped with a 57 STRAT single coil (Alnico 5/Form Bar). The neck and middle pickups are approximately 6k, and the bridge only is approximately 6.4k, using a calibrated set that takes into account tone balance. The middle pickup has a reverse winding reverse magnetic pole specification, so the hum canceling effect reduces noise at the mix position.
The control uses VINTAGE MODIFIED STRAT#2. The volume control is a BLEED custom based on a high-pass capacitor that combines a ceramic capacitor and a resistor, and the tone control uses FENDER paper wax capacitors that match each position. With BLEED Custom, it is possible to reduce the volume while maintaining the mid-high range even when the volume is turned down. This is a volume control that is useful as a gain control, with full volume creating a lead tone, 7 to 8 being a backing tone, and 6 and below being a clean/crunch gain control. Compared to a typical high-pass condenser, the tone retains the midrange and doesn't become too thin. By selecting the appropriate capacitor values for each position of the neck, middle tone, and bridge tone, the tone control capacitor not only maintains the overall tone balance but also produces an attractive sound when the tone is cut.
