Fender Custom Shop 2022 Time Machine 1952 Telecaster Relic Aged Nocaster Blonde [SN.R1128038]

The Telecaster is one of Fender's flagship guitar models. The "BROADCASTER" was sold as the origin of the Telecaster before it was called the Telecaster. It was announced in the early 1950s, but at that time the name "Broadcaster" was registered as a trademark by Gretsch, so the decal with the model name was hurriedly cut off and the model was shipped with just the fender logo. It is known by the nickname "NOCASTER".

This one is a limited edition 1952 Telecaster that is used in many series.
The 2-piece ash body has an ultra-thin flash coat lacquer finish in Aged Nocaster Blonde color, and the paint is so thin that you can see the unevenness of the wood grain, irregular weather checks, and large peeling and small damage in some places. Vintage look. The one-piece maple material is Liftson (straight grain), and the neck shape is finished in a 1957 V shape with the thickness adjusted slightly thicker at the low position. Since it is V-shaped, it has a good grip that can be called a slim neck compared to Nocaster necks.
The fingerboard radius is a 7.25-9.5R compound radius finish used in the Vintage Custom series. The chord is easy to hold in the low position, and the R is flat and easy to play for lead play in the high position. It is a versatile specification that allows you to change the string height to low action. The frets are slightly taller than normal vintage sizes. The neck has excellent playability due to its neck grip, fingerboard radius, and fret size. The neck grip looks like it has been hit hard, and the paint has been largely peeled off from 1F to 12F. This finish provides a smooth feel to the touch.
The sound produced by the carefully selected ash body and one-piece neck allows you to experience a clear, firm, and thick sound just by hitting one chord. The thinness that can be seen from the unevenness of the painted surface, the thick and thick sound due to the relic processing, and the gorgeous sound like an acoustic are wonderful. This is a gem that will amplify the resonance of the body and neck as you play it, creating an even more vintage-like sound.

The pickup that reproduces that wonderful sound uses a hand-wound pickup. The impression is that the amplifier outputs an acoustic atmosphere with richer harmonics than a normal machine-wound one. Equipped with 50-51 Blackguard Single Coil pickup (enamel/Neck Alnico 5/Bridge Alnico 3). The pickups are tuned to early Fender tones and output a thick, dry Telecaster sound. You can also feel the thickness due to the wonderful sound made by the custom shop.
The control is a customized "51 MOD NOCASTER" wiring based on vintage. Different sounds can be controlled by each lever switch. The neck position has a fat sound with moderate high cut using resistance, the center position has a tone bypass sound of the neck PU with a sense of dynamics, and the bridge pickup has a blender. This is a tone bypass sound with additional controls. This is not a control that allows general mixing, but it is a Mod. control that features the straight tone of the instrument, as it does not have a tone. A control plate is included for the general 3way Lever SW, master volume, and master tone.
The bridge is equipped with a vintage style 3way saddle. The bridge saddle is of course made of brass, and the 3-way saddle's non-tremolo structure produces a sound that is more direct and acoustic than a Stratocaster. The sound that you can experience is thicker than a Strat and is made by a custom shop! !
Don't miss out on this hybrid Telecaster, which is based on vintage specs and incorporates modern elements from a different angle! !
