This Raleigh The Winner is a lovely example in fantastic condition. It’s all original with virtually immaculate paintwork and superb chrome and aluminium on all the parts present. The Raleigh rims are in great shape with bright polished chrome and the Maillard hubs spin very nicely. The Weinmann brakes are in good shape along with the Sachs Huret drivetrain, making this a nice easy bike to ride with a Maillard 5 speed freewheel, give a nice spread of gears. The Raleigh tan wall tires are original as is the black foam handlebar tape, and these two elements are the only things you may consider replacing as they are showing some age, as expected. There is one small dent in the rear mudguard, underneath the Pletscher rear pannier rack and a small score in the aluminium spoke guard, but otherwise its free of any defects. Overall, this is a beautifully original bike in time warp condition and it deserves to be cherished by a lucky new owner

All parts are cleaned, inspected and fully described in the listings. Sometimes items with internal bearings such as pedals or hubs may need a service if we haven’t got around to doing this before listing, but we will always reflect this information, and make it clear in the listing.

We aim to offer a bicycle part that is ready to fit and enjoy, so frequently, disassemble, clean, re-grease and reassemble, to make sure everything is in full working order.

Complete bikes are checked over, and given a service if required, so they are working as they should and any issues will be listed so you the buyer can assess your purchase.

Please be aware that complete bikes will need some assembly once you receive them. The pedals, stem and handlebars will need refitting, along with the seat post, saddle and both wheels. If there are mudguards or racks included these will also need to be put back, but there will be nothing that requires any specialist tools and if you are in doubt, we are happy to advise, help or point in the direction of a local shop.
