Crazy Candy are made with superior machines that ensure 100% dry. The difference is in the taste.  Other freeze dried candies are not 100% dry,  most machines can achieve 80% dry, there is a sticky after taste as you chew down toward the end of the bite!  (They also tend to weigh more)  Our candies are made with superior machines to ensure 100% dryness. That is the best quality, least moisture left in the products. This helps to intensify the flavors and guaranteed freshness.   Moisture can cause candy to become sticky and can oxidize the products.  This is why our candies are the freshes on the market.   

The trick is also in the superior packaging process!  After the candies are freeze dried, powerful vacuum pump draws out extra oxygen from the candies creating a strong suction.  While the food is still frozen, some of the moisture escapes into the vacuum.  The actual drying process takes 20-36 hours.  This is carefully monitored.  Many home made products are not following this stringent proceedure.

Crazy Candy are packaged in vaccum with Added Nitrogen to replace the left over oxygen to ensure extra freshness.  Oxygen can oxidize the porducts inside the package as time goes on.  This process ensures no oxidation occures inside the package to give us the freshest products with the longest shelf life.  Although most of our freeze dried products have expiration date of 2 years or more. They can last even beyond that due to the superior process.  We do recommend eating them within the week once opened to enjoy the best freshest dry candies!

In addition, each bag is double wall lined with another metallic layer inside the bag during the sealing process to ensure a better seal!  You can see many other candy companies use regular plastic see- through bags or hand seal bags.  These are not truly vaccum seal and is not sanitary. When there is moisture left inside the bag, the products can become oxydized,  go bad or remoisturize become sticky.

There are a lot of home made or small batch made freeze dried candies that are made with home grade freeze dry ovens, sealed with plastic bags that are not double walled or vaccum sealed.  These are all not professionally processed products.  We only sell the best of the best freeze dried products on the market.
