This was worn once as an adult bridesmaid's skirt.

It was designed and made by Jane Murray, a professional costume designer for Welsh National Opera.

Material: Raw silk outer with full lining

Colour: Apricot / russet   (Have a look at Caran D'Ache Luminance pencil 6901 colour Russet - Sanguine 065 to give you a good idea!) 

The photo showing the detail of the roses is not a good representation of the colour ie it's not a pink shade, more of an orange apricot with the chraracteristic raw silk sheen

Gathered waistband with button fastening

Decorated simply with three raw silk roses just below the waist back and fabric covered (working) buttons down the back length

Slight flare to the design

Fully lined with poly silk fabric

The garment is in very good vintage condition. 

Please note that the raw silk main outer material has a naturally slubbed effect and so slight imperfections are part of the nature of the fabric
