This is a lovely example of Norah Wellings’ Norene Model 825 from the 1930s. Considering her age and the felt materials used, she (or he?) is in remarkably good condition. She is strong and intact with just a few points of wear and discolouration as shown in the photos. Her hair is lovely and lustrous, probably due to being protected under a hat which is sadly lost. She also has the rarer lighter hair as the models mentioned on collector sites only have dark hair. Clothes have wear and boots’ seams have opened. Measuring 14.5”, she is five-way jointed and has pristine feet with the all-important label on her foot. Lovely and clean, and from a smoke-free home.
