W M Lodge of the Order of Total Abstinence, Sons of the Phoenix. The medal has the initials P.C.N. which, I believe, means Past Chief Noble.

number of times and had both female and juvenile divisions. It was based in the South of England.

The various splits had names like the United Juvenile Order and the Original Grand Order.

The Phoenix, symbolising rebirth, was used by this organisation to represent the new start in life for

people who gave up drink.

It was made by Henry William Curry silversmith.Henry William Curry took over the business of Augustus George Piesse in 1867, and Curry continued to run the business as a manufacturing silversmith and retailer in antique silver-plate, which he continued until 1889.
