This lens existing is insane. It only weighs 3.8lbs! Bananas!

The 17x zoom range is impressive. You can really do an impressive zolly / vertigo move on this.

It's also pretty fast at T/2.7. It does lose 2/3 of a stop at the long end past 143mm, 

but that's nothing that won't push up in the grade, or pull down on the wide end.

I'm told this is the latest model cinema zoom that Canon released. I was told this was also a later batch release.

It's an extremely special lens and I'm sad to see it go, but had to free up funds. It's in fantastic shape, very very minimal wear. Hardly any wear at all noticeable on the outside. Some small wear marks on the rear housing of the back element (pictured). And, the glass is spectacularly clean. You will be astounded.

It covers s16 with ZERO vignetting. On the long end it actually covers super 35. For vertical content this can actually be super useful - you can extend the zoom range even farther and you cover the s35 frame (vertically only) through almost the entire range.
