PAUL ANKA
Arranged And Conducted By Sid Feller
SIDE A: PASO EL VERANO
(Summer's Gone)
SIDE B: TENDRIA QUE COMPARTIR
(I'd Have To Share)
MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original MONO Polydor Records very first press released in Chile in 1960 by Polydor Records, made and distributed by Philips Chilena S.A. Productos Eléctricos, licensed from ABC Paramount Records, USA, through the Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft, Germany, catalog number 612 372, with machine etched matrix numbers 612-372-A in Side A and 612-372-B R1 in Side B, with traditional orange/black Polydor “scroll” Records labels, with white “Polydor” and rim text, and solid center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!
“Summer's Gone” was originally released by Paul Anka in USA in September 1960 and the same year we could see this single released here in Chile. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for Paul Anka as songwriter and for Sid Feller as arranger and conductor in both sides, with additional information about licenses, rights society and price, “E°1,38”, printed in Side A. If you know this single then you could have already noticed that in original US press the credit for Sif Feller is only in the Side A, because in Side B the only information is “With Orchestra & Chorus”, the name of Sid Feller doesn’t appear!!! So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS of this single by Paul Anka released in Chile, with Spanish-written song titles, UNIQUE CREDIT FOR SID FELLER in “I'd Have To Share”, a record almost never seen. WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collector of Paul Anka, Sid Feller and early days of Rock’N’Roll music!!!
This single doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG- or VG condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, light hairlines and some soft scratches, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in EX- or EX condition both sides, with some light spindle hole wear, micro tears and some faint blemishes, with the name of some past owner written and partially faded in Side B. The sound is in strong VG- or even VG condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (background noise was normal in records from Chile), with constant soft crackles and occasional light clicks here and there, and in G+ or VG- condition the Side B, almost same condition as Side A but with the “noise” more present, which could cause some distraction but it doesn’t affect the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS of this single by Paul Anka, with Spanish-written song titles, for sure not for strict Minty minds or audiophiles, but a record with a nice glossy look, clear and clean labels and still with a decent and respectable sound quality after about 64 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean single!!! And, yes Sirs, WHAT A FIND AGAIN!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels in detail. WOW!!!

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records. NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like
new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only
some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the
sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or
poster are in like perfect condition. BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
