This is a massive piece weighing in at over 6 oz. (170 gr.) and probably meant to be mounted on a wood base. Many badges I've collected over the years were received in such a manner. For the asking I'll include one. You'd might have to modify the base in some fashion eg. change the orientation from portrait to landscape but it would be an original base produced in Germany for just such an application. Happy to provide pix to anyone interested. This plaque has a Fritz Reu maker mark. 62mm X 130mm (~ 2 3/8" X 5 1/8") Condition is very good with signs of handling and storage. No mounting hardware included. A great addition to your collection.
