On offer is an original 19^th Century French hand carved meerschaum icon / relic of Jesus Christ in profile. Exceptional detailing. Signed Mattei after Cardinal Orazio Mattei (1621–1688). Coming in its original wooden frame / mount. Diameter in total 17cm. Some wood worm holes to frame, but treated.
