The 1959 Les Paul Standard Model shines brightly in the history of electric guitars. With his overwhelming sound that captivated many musicians, and his beautiful body line that mesmerizes players, he can be said to be an icon that is admired by all rock guitarists even today.
After the gold top period since its release in 1951, the Les Paul Standard adopted a sunburst finish in 1958, and was produced in that form for a short period of time until 1960. Among them, the "1959" model, which is extremely popular as a representative year, continues to reign as a great model that always attracts envious eyes. This "1959" model was produced by bringing together the best of current Gibson Custom Shop technology.
Based on the 2018 specifications that largely follow the True Historic specifications that appeared in 2015 as the ultimate reissue model, this latest arrival has the same specifications as the 2019 60th Anniversary model, which was produced with even more attention to detail. is!
When the 60th Anniversary model was released, in addition to reviewing the color of the "Les Paul MODEL" silk screen on the head, which can be called the "face" of the guitar, the Gibson logo design was also refined to be closer to the original. The inlays, including the fingerboard position marks, are not colored, but are made of cellulose material that is naturally dark in color, further enhancing the atmosphere.
