Scott #RS117D, this is a Match and Medicine proprietary stamp issued by Dr. Herrick's for his Sugar Coated Pills. The stamps were issued between 1862 to 1883. The stamp has been certified by APEX as genuine. Dr. Herrick's was the first private proprietary die printed.
