6.5 x 8.5"

This is one of a batch of official BBC Dr Who photos I'm putting up, all in good condition

I think this is actually a press release photo for the very first episode, in November 1963

From Wiki:

The programme first appeared on the BBC Television Service at 17:16:20 GMT on 23 November 1963; this was eighty seconds later than the scheduled programme time, because of announcements concerning the previous day's assassination of John F. Kennedy. It was to be a regular weekly programme, each episode 25 minutes of transmission length.

They almost all have explanatory text on the back, usually telling you what the programme is, the date, and the names of the actors (unless they're in monster costumes)

My scanner's overhead light is causing a bit of a reflection in some of them, as they're glossy, and also generally they look a little darker on here than they are in the real thing

Please click on the scans to 'supersize' them and read the text or see the details of the images, as these form the major part of the description

Do please check out my other items and also add me to your Saved Sellers List!

I will happily combine shipping - but if you're abroad, please contact me before bidding for the British Royal Mail postage rates (cheaper if several Dr Who photos are posted together, although these will have to be sent Tracked)

Please email me if you have any queries, or similarly, if there's any problem at all with your item please contact me before leaving feedback

Shipping

Postage I try to be very fair with postage costs, as I fully realise they can be offputting, but if you bid on items, I take it that you're accepting these. They cover envelopes, packing materials, stamps, and trips to the Post Office

Items will almost always come out to you next day. I always get a Proof of Posting certificate, and if an item does get lost in the post I will forward it to you for you to make a claim, as the Post Office will not reimburse Sellers for their actual loss on the item, but will only refund what we originally paid for it. You as the Buyer can claim the full amount of your loss

However, in over 12,000 parcels I've mailed out over the last twelve years only about ten have gone astray, and most of these were overseas

If you're at all worried about losing something, do ask for Recorded Delivery - £1.30 extra in the UK and £6.95 for overseas

Non-UK buyers

Please do not bid if the item is not shown as Worldwide!

I will mail you as soon as possible with both Airmail and Surface postal charges (or just Airmail if it's a very light item) - please don't pay until we've communicated on this

Airmail takes between three and five days. The Post Office warns that Surface mail to the USA, Australia, etc, can take as long as 12 weeks, but it is, obviously, a lot cheaper

In practice, American buyers tell me that Surface mail usually takes between 14 and 21 days (and apparently it actually travels by air, filling any space after the official Airmail items are loaded)
