I customized this thinkpad in late 2019 for a relative who needed a big 4:3 laptop. At the time it needed a new screen and I could not find an IPS panel for it, so I installed a compatible 3rd party TN SXGA+ display. Now they no longer need the laptop, so here it is for sale.
The laptop has the following specs:

factory restore disk install of XP, with all
original Thinkpad and 3rd party software and drivers. Includes the recovery partition. Windows is fully updated and legacy update is installed.
- LCD: 3rd party compatible TN panel, SXGA+ 1400x1050, bought as new old stock in the fall of 2019.
- Includes a working Lenovo branded battery (Windows says 1:40 at idle).
- Includes Lenovo branded 90 watt charger.
Cosmetics:
no missing parts or pieces. no missing screws. no cracked or broken
plastic. Lid is in excellent condition with minimal scuffing.
Testing:
Overall system: Installed OS from optical disk, ran updates from USB thumb drive without issues.
External VGA: works
Wired internet: works
Wifi: works
USB: works
Optical drive: reads and boots from disks OK, did not test burning.
Keyboard: tested, all keys work
Internal speaker: works
Modem: not tested
Speaker jacks: not tested
Card slot: not tested.
