I inherited these Camshafts from my Father who was an Agent for Piper Cams in the 60's and 70's.
They are a New re-profiled Pair of a Rally / Race type Camshaft developed by Piper Camshafts from Kent.
They have been in a box since the 70's however when I removed the Tape from the Bearing Journals a
few months ago I noticed some small scores on some of the Journals.
The scores are present on 3 Journals on one Camshaft and 2 on the other Camshaft.
I have tried to show the small scores in the photos, however I do not think the scores will cause
any issues in the Camshafts operation or performance.
However this is only my opinion so please make sure you are okay with the small scores or
check with your engine builder before bidding.
The Camshafts have a Valve Lift of 0.402".
Timing figures are 58/82/ 81/43 with a Power Band of approx 4000 rpm to 8000 rpm.
The Base Circle diameter of the Camshaft Lobes are 0.990".
