Up for auction is this extremely heavy nickel plated brass bayonet fit duplex kerosene oil lamp burner.  Unbranded, just marked 'duplex' . I suspect may have been made by Hinks for other retailers when they ceased to make the 'separate winder' type burners under their own name in the 1880s. It is extremely heavy !

Fully functional, winders work properly, extinguishers work nicely. One chimney grp has been cracked and neatly silver-soldered ( picture 8 ). The nickel plated finish is very worn and shows brass in many places, but would still serve to complete a nickel plate fitting

Fits standard Hinks bayonet collars.  Takes a standard 2&1/2 inch base chimney and has gallery for  4 inch base globe .

Has decent wicks and original cork washer fitted to inside of base.

Will be well packed.
