Beatles 45 1968 Hey Jude, Thin Font! Harder to find than First Press with No Credits!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

It’s true.  Trying to find one of these is very hard, and it’s probably due to the fact that the first-pressing, no credits variation was pressed by both LA and Scranton, this small run was specific to LA.  I think…

I’M COMPILING A TWO-VOLUME SET OF BOOKS of labels for just American Beatles albums.  45 labels will follow.  If anyone owns a copy of this variation from a plant other than Los Angeles, please contact me.  I will include your label and credit you.

Vinyl: Very strong VG+.  Others might grade this 45 Excellent.  But there are very small flaws per side.  See photos.

Labels: NM/VG+.  Side 2 label has some dirtwear, which can probably be cleaned off, but I’ve learned my lesson.  I’M not going to try it!

This thinner font was modeled after the Los Angeles and Scranton fonts found on the “Get Back” and “Something” singles.  It must have been decided upon, to use the more uniform thicker-style very quickly, making for an instant collector’s item.  You don’t see these very often.

Sleeve: Company Apple sleeve is present and in EX condition.  “The Beatles on Apple.”  NO SPLITS.

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your Company Sleeve during shipping.

Plates: F9/F9.  (Sounds like a shark-nado.)  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
