The 129th British Golf Open, also known as the 2000 Open Championship, was held at the Old Course in St Andrews, Scotland from July 20–23, 2000. Tiger Woods won the tournament by eight strokes, finishing with a record-breaking total of 19 under par. At age 24, Woods became the youngest golfer to complete a career Grand Slam of all four major titles.
