The whole thing is shows very little wear the gold plate on the back of the clasp which is stamped Vendome is unmarked and looks scarcely worn. It has however stretched on the stringing and I think needs redoing. It is knotted I can see. The beads have a high pearlescence and are 7.5mm from hole to hole as best I can measure. It is a lovely example and well worth restringing by someone, more because it is fairly heavy and I have made an allowance for this in the price.
Vendome operated as a subsidiary of Coro as a high end line in America from 1944-1970. They ceased trading in 1970 These could be anything from late 1950's to early 1960's.. The clasp is the same as brooches produced in this period. The clasp is mentioned in an American jewellery book stating is actually late 1950's.
