This motor was fitted into a large single channel radio controlled model during my service time in the RAF by an armourer who had  made a working model of an ejection seat. complete with pilot and parachute   Static testing of the seat outside the model club was successful. The aircraft was rather heavy with the seat fitted and it had to be hand launched.  It did  a couple of circuits of the field an then the model flew into a football net. The motor stopped and the model rolled over. The seat then fired the pilot into the ground.

The crash damaged one mounting lug and broke off one rear back plate screw. The mounting lug has been repaired by welding. The screw has not been removed for fear of further damaging the casting.
